2008- Million Impossible Announce Face to Face Networking Launch

We launched Million Impossible Plc’s online business and Entrepreneur network during November 2007 www.millionimpossible.com and as of June 2007 we have secured over 800 live online members. We also launched a free to advertise business directory called Business Sourcer www.businesssourcer.com …….

We created Million Impossible to provide a true and honest business network where members really wanted to help each other. A network where members can share their successes as well as their mistakes and although and e-handshake can travel the world we have to consider the face to face mix!

We are now looking to launch our face to face county based network which will provide our members the opportunity to put face’s to the names of our members.

Each County will have a Regional Network Controller who will be the head of the region. This will be an existing Million Impossible member who already owns and runs their own business who shares our passion in uniting Entrepreneurs and business people and that Dreams really can be made a reality!

Each appointed Regional Network Controller will hold twice monthly county meetings.. The meetings will be a mix of networking, sharing ideas, promoting business as well as motivational and inspirational talks and group discussions.

We are currently working on the operational roll out plan and hope to have our first county (Essex) live within the next two-three months. Once Million Impossible launches our Face to Face network, we hope to move on to become a top UK contender in Business Networking and Business Seminars…

Million Impossible PLC is a story of how dreams can become a reality regardless of your age, race, religion, nationality and financial circumstances. Although the journey is not yet completed and the business is still in its infancy… we are showing that a business in today’s very tough commercial climate can start, grow and develop regardless of what challenges it may face or obstacles that it will have to overcome.

It’s Monday morning and i wanted to share last week thoughts and feelings with you all…

Why do people judge you when they do not even know you?
Why do people assume that because they heard a story they naturally think its true?

Why are most people so shallow that they do not have the balls to tell you something to your face?

The bottom line is that most people lack the character to establish the truth in order that that can then make an informed opinion based on actual fact.

MOST PEOPLE ARE WEAK, SHALLOW AND LACK THE CHARACTER TO STAND TALL AND SAY THIS IS WHO I AM, THESE ARE THE MISTAKES I HAVE MADE AND THIS IS WHERE I INTEND TO GO!

You can judge me and you can even be my jury but unless you have walked in my shoes then don’t execute me. . Do you think because you know someone or you are related to someone that has and Auschwitz prisoner number tattooed on their arm, that you think you know what it was like to actually have Ben there?

Million Impossible was named so because so many people actually want to become a Millionaire and dream of driving the Ferrari up the 2 mile driveway to their home but it was also named so because of the Impossible journey that many of us face not just in business but in our personal lives also.

The next time you ask your friend if they are OK remember one thing.

Most people cannot express or do not wish to share their feelings because to do so leaves them with the feeling of being totally naked and exposed to emotional reprisals. So what do we do? We keep it all bottle up inside which actually compounds the problem.

Don’t Judge them, because actually they may be stronger than you think and maybe they are wise enough to know that if they told you what was really going on you would fall apart!

2008- In Business and Consider yourself an Entrepreneur?

I have talked about my journey mainly but i also need to promote the business which i am involved with so that we can grow and develop our dreams of helping other like minded business people that have struggled and are either going through adversity facing many challenges as i have as well as people who have come through it to cross to calmer waters……

2008- Entrepreneurs, You don’t have to wear a badge on your sleeve to have Honour!

I have just returned from a great weekend in the Lake District and for the first time in my life have had a woman who cares very much about me treat me to a great time away with our 4 combined children. Well if the 6 hour drive there and back was not enough time to reflect my thoughts feelings and direction then Centerparcs and 4 days of cycling up and down hills (with kids in carry buggies and jelly legs) gave me plenty to think about… Thanks Emma – I just wish i could give you more of my heart, mind and soul but I’m still not ready to take the next step without feeling complete as a man and a business person/ Entrepreneur. I hope that i can find myself once more as time will certainly show.

OK so here is my synopsis and just to recap for any new readers. My name is Bradley and after some reasonable success in my life found myself bankrupt and heartbroken at 37 years of age… Life ripped apart from a mixture of bad decisions and bad luck as well as poor judgments.

I decided that enough was enough and i got 5 people together to start what i thought was the beginning of my life “TO CREATE SOMETHING THAT WOULD HELP BUSINESS PEOPLE” Million Impossible was born www.millionimpossible.com a website where entrepreneurs could unite together and share their most naked and raw thoughts about being in business… I also thought that if businesses had the opportunity to advertise their businesses for free that we would have covered two of the most important foundations for new and existing businesses – (1) Building a network of trusted people that you can work with through your business career (2) Advertise and promote your business on a very  cost effective basis………….

Business can only survive through making profit and we have lost money for 8 months to get our Websites live, interesting, useful and above all warming enough to make people feel at home so that they can actually realise the benefits of using such a website..

WELL IT IS NOT AS EASY AS THAT IS IT?

I have been reflecting on my personal and  business position… Million Impossible currently has around 750 members and growing now at circa 80-100 per week and Business Sourcer now has around 1600 advertisers with nearly 5000 adverts live. The business is growing but not fast enough….

We are now on average across the month just breaking even!
We are not moving forward quickly enough
We need more investment to make the profit levels that we need to make!

I am mentally tired, physically exhausted, hugely frustrated and feel absolutely battered by all what has happened to me over the last two years and above all have a large doubt as to whether we will become successful on our current path…. I mean , we have a great web site and a good business model but we certainly do not have the funds Facebook has and really who wants it invest in an idea from someone who has gone thought bankruptcy?

On ReflectionIf i could change things right now what would they be ???????????????????

 

First i would lean to smile again. I do not smile as much as i used to an my sense of humour used to be wicked and i guess the pressure has changed that… They say that a smil can travel the world and now we are trying to get an esmile to travel the world.

As far as the business is concerned this is what we need to right now

1. Find a suitable investor who can help us move to the business forward
2. Increase our sales team so that we can increase our income/revenue
3. Increase the awareness and visibility of our three main websites
4. Create a enjoyable place to work that we can feel proud of having created it
5. Build Million Impossible and get ready to launch www.billionimpossible.com in the USA
6. Prove to all the people that have doubted us or tried to hurt our business that we are strong enough to overcome any adversity

You know i am not a superman or superhero, In fact i am just an ordinary man who had a dream, a dream that one day life would be easier for his kids and himself.

So where do we go from here. Do i accept that the business will hobble along until such time as it starts to grow? Will the business grow? Am i honestly being realistic in believing that it could work?

OR SHOULD I JUST GIVE IN?

So many people have commented on our site, so many people say “What a great Idea”…. Well myself Heidi and Colin also think its a great idea but with any ambitious plans that Entrepreneurs come up with “You have to return a Profit”.

Someone one told me a while ago that at a meeting of 600 business people only one person was happy with their business. That’s less 0.16% happy business people or to put it another way that 99.84% of business people who are either worried about their current business position or are facing some crucial and critical decisions to either save their business or move it on!

AM I THE ONLY THE ONE WHO CAN BE TOTALLY HONEST THAT IT IS NOT EASY BEING IN BUSINESS IN TODAY’S CLIMATE……………. You don’t have to wear a badge on your sleeve to have Honour…. So why is it that Business People still insist in saying “I’m Fine” “I’m Fine”………….. People it’s time to lift your skirts, grab your balls and make a decision!

2008 – Building a Business Network Website with Limited Capital

I guess that i could have taken a much easier route to potentially earn money but something inside me and i guess it’s the softer side of me or the human side that feels so deeply for all the budding and aspiring Entrepreneurs that do not quite make it and the pain that they go through during the aftermath that follows a failed enterprise – The strong get back up and try again with the new knowledge that they have gained.

I cannot wave a magic wand and make everybody successful business people (including myself)  and i guess nobody can. That’s why i was compelled to launch Million Impossible. Well you all know my story by now, fro loosing everything to starting with nothing…. My blogs tell you all what i have been through… and of course i am facing my own dilemmas, exactly the same as everybody else – THE CHALLENGES OF GROWING A START UP BUSINESS AFFECT US ALL IN DIFFERENT WAYS!

Million Impossible is not to far away form reaching our 1000th member and after only 6 months of trading we are really proud (and somewhat exhausted) that we have come this far with such a limited capital. Some of you may say 1000 members “that’s not a high number compared to say facebook”… but when you look at what we created and the websites that we have had to design to support our Entrepreneur start up packages – well we think we have done OK….

Just today I am faced with our first main internal wrangle among the sales team… I cannot stand the corporate separation that some/ most businesses go through. It is vitally important that all teams pull together and that every one pulls their individual weight, even excelling at times when your co-workers are having a tough day.

Our business is at a very crucial stage right now. We are so nearly have a business and we are just as close to having to step back and consolidate ahead of further investment being required. If we can achieve what we have planned without further investment then Million Impossible really could be a true testament to what we said originally “Anybody can make their dreams a reality as long as they have passion, belief, determination and a will to win regardless of race, age, gender and financial circumstance”.

2008 – Credit Crunch? It’s time to get more bang for your buck!

With the Credit Crunch combined with recent fuel increases at nearly 30%  playing havoc on businesses up and down the country we have to ask ensure that we get More Bang for our Buck!

After looking at the what i feel is the the most important aspect of being in business “Profitability” can we really stretch our money to go further?

2008- Courage under Fire! Everybody wants to be an Entrepreneur.

Everybody wants to be an Entrepreneur. The idea of owning the title of ENTREPRENEUR fascinates everybody and equally excites and fires the courage within us all but very few who wish to have the title of ENTREPRENEUR actually know what to do let alone handle the pain the Entrepreneur’s are confronted with every day!

Million Impossible was created to help Entrepreneurs initially in the UK to network together and share ideas, increase sales, decrease purchasing costs and above all to promote themselves and their businesses.

What we have found is that there are very few people that actually come to the table fighting for that piece of the sales pie or indeed wish to save 5% on the bottom line! Astounding isn’t it to think that we all class ourselves as Entrepreneurs, however, many of us do not actually know the first thing about Entrepreneurialism and that’s why so many fall at the first sign of pressure..

When you finally take the step to becoming an Entrepreneur ,did you really think and plan out your operation and even make some kind of contingency plan? - we’ll you are not alone most of us are the same as we march into our start ups like something resembling a scene from the film ”The Charge of the Light Brigade”.

If your thinking about becoming an Entrepreneur then think again, think again and then think again and then ask your self the following question

ARE YOU PREPARED TO GIVE UP YOUR LIFESTYLE, YOUR ASSETS, YOUR TIME, YOUR ENERGY AND YOUR HEART MIND AND SOUL TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS? ARE YOU PREPARED TO GO TO HELL AND BACK – BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IT IS GOING TO TAKE.

If the answer is no to any of the above then choose another path as being an Entrepreneur is not for you!

During your journey, unless you are very lucky and have heaps of money at least 90% of budding Entrepreneurs will reach a point where they either have to sell everything they own to continue to support their dream or you may indeed have already sold everything in order to continue or close down.

If your product is not working and there has been little or no take up in the market, then it may well be time to hang up your boots and look for a new idea (which a lot of entrepreneurs do) . Now if your product is working and you need a cash injection to bring your business into profitability then of course you should consider consider selling some of the equity in your business and bring in a partner as 70% of something is far better than 100% of nothing.

There are so many business meeting clubs, networking events and websites that entrepreneurs do not know which way to turn……. My point is this.. The courage required to stay the distance as an Entrepreneur, that we should have all considered some pre schooling, especially if you from a young age have not been exposed to either a family or Friend who runs a business.

I grew up working for my father in the London street markets and this gave me the tough exterior and implanted survival instincts into me, which has helped me navigate the at times perilous path that i have chosen to take.

Are there days when i just feel i would like to go back into a normal job – Yes of course, I think about all the time and more so when i have had a tough day, which seems to be every day at the moment.

Are there days when i just feel that i want to give in? Yes and i guess the thing that keeps driving me is that i still believe that i am here for a reason and that is what i have been searching for my whole life – My reason!

So if you can handle your mind being tortured and your heart being ripped out and you think that you will have courage under fire then you just might make it as an Entrepreneur!
